She combines traditional and non-traditional approaches working towards overall wellness, and at times works with underlying aspects that may contribute to physical ailments and psychological impacts, through the craniosacral therapy, psychotherapy, and/ or hypnotherapy services.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a manipulation/ mobilization technique, to improve musculoskeletal dysfunction, enhance health, improve brain and spinal cord function, reduce accumulated stress, and enhance wellness. CST utilizes the craniosacral system (head to bottom of spine, possessing the brain and spinal cord), and includes the fascia (a connective tissue surrounding bone, muscle and organs). CST influences the musculoskeletal, nervous, vascular, lymphatic, endocrine, and respiratory systems. In CST one views the body as a puzzle, necessitating a comprehensive approach. CST is utilized to evaluate and treat a variety of conditions, viewing the individual as an integrated totality. The therapist addresses the source of the problem(s), which affect the symptoms.

In a typical CST session, the therapist’s attention is to the restricted area(s) to facilitate release. The body’s fascia and CST rhythm is evaluated for loss of mobility, an aid to locating problem areas. The therapist’s hands may be on bone, muscle, organ, and/ or fascia tissue during treatment. As restricted areas release, regions may become more aligned, and function in many areas of one’s being (physical and/or emotional) may improve. Because of this, in chronic conditions, and in more involved diagnoses, the results may be slower, yet more beneficial in the long term. In addition, body tissues may store a residue of emotional/ psychological issues, which at times can be gently explored internally by therapist’s facilitation (termed somatoemotional release).
